Anime to Watch

Over the past decade, I've put a lot of anime series on a list of anime series to watch. Yet, I never got around to actually watching them. With the state of my health, I don't think I'll get around to watching the anime that I want to watch, as much as I would like to add more series to Stupid Pervert.

I seldom use MyAnimeList these days, aside from keeping track of the anime that I want to watch.

As of this writing, I am still in the process of listening to music from numerous video game systems. I previously listened to music from NES, Sega Genesis, PC Engine, Game Boy, Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Advance games. I download the music from either Zophar's Domain or VGMPF, short for Video Game Music Preservation Foundation.

Trying to get back into Game Development

As in creating my own games in Game Maker or other engines. After I had started working on BSSF2: Glamor Queen, I kept forgetting how to code in GML. This also extends to the philosophy I used to do when I created my own Game Maker games as a hobby.

These days, I have no idea how to balance my time between browsing platforms like YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Discord, Bluesky, etc, rotoscoping my own model renders, developing Game Maker games, and more. I'm afraid I've run past my prime time as far as creating Game Maker games goes. The best I can do is to keep recycling code from my previous games. A nice thing to know is that games written in pre-Studio versions of Game Maker can run on a Steam Deck under custom Proton settings, with some caveats such as the complete lack of MIDI audio, or sounds not being able to interrupt themselves. Larger games seem to crash at random.

Vernon Rant (Post-2023)

Ah, Vernon, my oldest brother. For the longest time, he's always been this cool guy with a great sense of humor and morale. He has a tremendous ability to apply logic to situations. When I was little, I used to be afraid to talk to him, but that has long since changed.

At least 3 months after Diane and co. got a new house in October of 2022, Vernon started to change... drastically, for the absolute worst. Some term that must have originated from the Matrix movie, called colored "pills" or what have you, caught the attention of many people across the internet. Often times you'll have to hear about such a term.

By far one of the most annoying traits Vernon has gained, are the constant click sounds on whatever phone he uses. Combine that with almost always having some yapping (usually from YouTube videos/streams) playing on a video game console, both night and day. After doing a little bit of research, yes, there are people who have to sleep to sound. And unfortunately, Vernon seemingly became one of those people. Like, you can't leave a console on without an apparent reason and expect others not to moderate you. Vernon also seems to fake his sleep sometimes, as there are times when I could clearly hear him snoring, I would turn off the TV, causing Vernon to react to it and wonder what happened.

The yapping playing at midnight especially bothers me, as it seems like I am not allowed to concentrate on creating content. I also dislike hearing constant donations or yelling/screaming from the streams he's listening to, or when he has his phone playing audio at midnight on speaker. Another thing I dislike is when he's playing a console in one room, while listening to the TV in another room, but I believe he's done this before 2023. The light on his phone is also very distracting. I swear, no other content creator has to deal with such things. Whenever the console is off at midnight, I can't help but feel a sigh of relief.

As an anime fan, I also especially hate it when Vernon starts playing a video/stream of some obnoxious lady. Another thing that annoys me are his weird sleep intervals. Often times, he can't sleep for a solid length of time. Plus, it's hard to correctly judge if he's genuinely fast asleep. There's even been times when he would turn the  Xbox One back on, shortly before falling back to sleep.  Things like those completely shut down my enthusiasm, and it hurts me deep inside that I have to put up with them for many years to come.  There was even a time when the Xbox One's power supply was dying, so Vernon had to buy a new one from Gamestop for $50.

On an extra note, Vernon tends to have sound playing on his phone at midnight. Starting in late April 2025,  Vernon has been increasingly growing a tendency where after the Xbox One turns off by itself due to inactivity, he proceeds to turn the Xbox One back on and waste even more electricity.

August 2, 2025 update: The situation with Vernon's activities keeps getting worse and worse as time goes by. His heavy emphasis on running the Xbox console and playing audio on his phone on speaker, both night and day amplifies further and further.

Vernon seriously needs to rely less on sound coming from the devices that he uses when it comes to sleeping. There are even times when less than an hour or few after the Xbox One turns off by itself due to inactivity, Vernon would proceed to turn it back on and waste even more electricity. It's extremely relentless. I want nighttime (especially midnight) and the early morning to be time for me to concentrate on content that I want to create, not to be distracted by sound that goes completely against what I enjoy about media.

I firmly believe that a part of Vernon has been flanderized. I'd be hard pressed to see him do anything besides consume media whenever he's not going out, or working. I've also started to notice that starting around August of 2025, he has been waking up as soon as either I wake up, or whenever I turn on my PC(s).

Sometimes, I would track how long Vernon keeps the Xbox console on with a stopwatch app. Vernon's session times with the Xbox console can go upwards of 6+ hours straight, I kid you not. It seems as if Vernon absolutely does not know when to stop or let up. My biggest fear is that Vernon's heavy reliance on media sound (to sleep) could be chronic, but I seriously hope that I'm proven wrong about that. Vernon saying "brutal", especially repeatedly is also extremely annoying.
In late December of 2025, Vernon has been continuously using an Xbox console, having it off in short intervals (as in a few hours or less), then turning an Xbox console back on. This really goes to show Vernon's hyper fixation on binging yap ad nauseam while seemingly wasting electricity. The same annoying voices that Vernon listens to on practically a daily basis are forever implanted on my head now.

Early in 2026, Vernon's post-2023 self has intensified even further, believe it or not. There's even been times when the Xbox One turns off by itself due to player inactivity, within a few hours he proceeds to turn the Xbox One back on shortly after waking up. Vernon has become extremely hardwired to have yap play on speaker nonstop, regardless of whether or not it's greatly contributing to electric bills. It's gotten to the point that he seemingly doesn't know when to take a break from having yap play on speaker. As of 2026, he usually has yap playing on his phone at both daytime and nighttime. I also greatly dislike hearing that poor man's coin block sound on his phone, if anyone catches my drift. I very much I wish I could dissuade him from his post-2023 self.

As of June 2026, it has become even more increasingly common for Vernon to have Kino Casino or any other yap playing on speaker on his phone at midnight.

I seriously do not like the heavy emphasis on having yap playing on speaker, either on his phone and especially on a console, both night and day. Could you imagine what it's like to devolve into a massive couch potato? It has become increasingly common for him to turn the Xbox console back on within a few hours of it turning off by itself due to inactivity.

Vernon is my kryptonite nowadays, and I'm not even trying to be funny. The dream is dead.

I hope this rant ages poorly, but I heavily doubt that it will.

Steam Account History

Near the end of 2010, I created my very first Steam account, Lorenzo The Comic (as in comic book). I can't remember the motivation behind it, aside from the fact that my brother had created his Steam account a year prior. My first Steam account wasn't used all that much.

In 2013, I bought Sonic 4: Episode 1 and Sonic Generations for PC on a different website. It turns out that they required Steam to play. So I went and used my 1st Steam account so I could play them. Later that year, I was eagerly waiting for the PC release of Skullgirls, and eventually joined the Skullheart forums.

By 2016, I had pretty much forgotten about my first Steam account, and created my 2nd one in January of that year. I was more active on my 2nd account than before. That account got community banned in September of next year due to spam, then I created another Steam account which I completely forgot about. I created yet another Steam account near the end of 2017, which also got community banned in February of 2020 for the same reason as my 2nd main account. By this point, I had pretty much given up on Steam.

These days, I'm stuck with an account from 2020 that I created during a time when Game Maker Studio 2 Mobile was on sale.

It took me until a few days ago, that I realized that I could provide my activation methods of the games I had purchased on my 1st Steam account to Steam Support. I finally changed the email address on my very 1st Steam account, after all those years of it being attached to an email service that seems to be defunct. Nowadays, I would keep my 1st account as it is mostly, for historical purposes.

Here is my 1st account.

Unobtainable Pokémon in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald

Generation III of Pokémon holds a special place in my heart. Although I didn't start playing Gen III until roughly a month before Gen IV's western release, it advanced the series in so many ways, when going from the Game Boy Color to the Game Boy Advance. Gen III introduced a lot of features, such as running shoes, abilities, natures and double battles. The user interfaces were also redefined, with all the Pokémon now having their own menu icons.

A thing that felt weird to me, was that a lot of the Pokémon from previous generations couldn't be obtained in Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald without trading with other Gen III games. These include Fire Red, Leaf Green, Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness.

There's something about the shading style and poses on the sprites in RSE, that I don't know how to describe them. I like most of the Kanto Pokémon sprites in RSE better than the ones in FRLG which often had more generic poses, although FRLG did have some better back sprites such as Alakzam's. Most returning Pokémon's back sprites in RSE were revamps of their Gen II back sprites.

Back in 2009, I used to spend countless hours trading Pokémon from my copies of Sapphire, FRLG and Colosseum onto Emerald.

Bishoujo Super Street Fighter II: Glamor Queen

After finding accidental engagement on Twitter by sharing Game Genie codes for Super Street Fighter II on the Sega Mega Drive, and 20 months of tile work, fixing and adding some sprites, changing PCM samples, trying to make certain aspects more arcade accurate, strenuous play testing of newly added features, among other changes, I present a combo ROM Hack where some of the fighters are replaced with more female characters from various franchises!

Creating this ROM Hack took a lot out of me. I consider it my magnum opus when it comes to ROM Hacking. I needed to develop my own method of inserting sprites in the ROM. Within 2 weeks, it received over 1,000 downloads on ROMHack Plaza. If this gets added to Fightcade, I would be in awe.

Click here to go to the releases page for the download.

Tobidase! Bacchiri

Based on the manga by Mitsuteru Okamoto, Tobidase! Bacchiri is a 1966 anime produced by Nippon TV Video, an animation studio that would later make the 1973 Doraemon anime. The show was dubbed in Italian as Il Piccolo Detective, which played the song Johnny Bassotto by Lino Toffolo for its theme song.

The main cast of characters consisted of Bacchiri, the titular young detective boy who solves crimes in various ways, Chibisu, an officer dressed in blue who tends to shrink in size, Gappori, a man dressed in green who's the president of his own detective agency, Benko, a green bird, and Roba, a donkey.

Crappy Games Wiki Archive

Crappy Games Wiki was one of several reception wikis powered by Miraheze. It was basically a catalogue of games that were poorly received, detailing the pros and cons of them.

As of 2022, it needed to be shut down (hopefully temporarily).

I enjoyed reading several articles on the Wiki. Here's a selection of links archived via Wayback Machine, including some of my favorite articles that were on the wiki:

My iPhone 7 is back!

Since I can't access my Apple account or post on Instagram on Desktop as of now, I decided to make a blog post here. I sent my iPhone 7 for repair service at Geek Squad, to get its battery replaced. I heard that as of this year, the iPhone 7 is the earliest model that Apple still supports. Geek Squad needed to send my iPhone to Apple themselves. It took 2 weeks to get the iPhone shipped, replaced and shipped back to Best Buy. My iPhone 7's previous battery lasted for 4 years before it eventually died.

Maddaneen

Maddaneen is a witch who appeared in an old comic series of mine. She had so many design inconsistencies! She was likely inspired by Madeline (from Ludwig Bemelmans), and might also resemble Ptolemy from the Fairy Land Story. In 2017, I later decided to draw inspiration from Mahou Tsukai Sally, so she uses magic either by winking or swinging her arms. Her magical winks can lift light objects.

Maddaneen's other appearances, up to 2022 include:

Maximum Combat Kids, as a playable character
